Into the wild was an amazing movie that is based on a true story which displayed many of the transcendentalism examples, the first being the importance of nature which was displayed all through the movie especially when he was shown in the magic bus trying to survive. He would not stop at nothing to be with the nature he would want to be with so he doesn’t have any more problems like he did as a child. Also he loved the beauty of nature around him as he had the river and different plants. In Thoreau’s life he went to live in nature as well to see how nature works. Chris shows self-reliance since even though in his journey to Alaska met many people that were kind like the hippies and the old man he met, he didn’t want to leave them but he did since he had his goal to go to Alaska. Also when the people he met always tried to convince him to change his mind but he didn’t really care for what they were saying if it was going to harm his journey. Chris was a great person who had thought about different creative things, so he was a also a free thinker and didn’t care for what his parents were trying to do for him and when he went canoeing Chris had no experience but still wanted to canoe to travel down and explore better. Chris character shows that you never need to have money just a goal and don't stop until you reach it.
