In the film Castaway protagonist Chuck Noland portrayed by actor Tom Hanks starts the film out a punctually obsessed, anal FedEx system’s analysist . Basically, carrier driven to the point where the most intimate moments in his life take a back seat , to his main priority , his job of course. In a dramatic turn of events Noland crash-lands on an uncharted island. Alone and left without choice, Noland is forced to take on Transcendental qualities. The transformation is not an easy one faced with many adversities, from internal to natural thrust Nolan to the brink of suicide. Adopting a respect for nature, acquiring strength from his solidarity(though eventually being accompanied by Wilson) and eventually gaining confidence , all transcendental characteristics , end up saveing his life.

rafa i agree that Noland is forced to take on transcendental qualities when he gets stranded on that island. You also made a good point about transcendentalism when you said he adopted respect for nature and gained strength from solidarity.

I agree with you Rafael because chuck developed a love and respect for nature through his survival in the island and it helped to save his life.
