There was many examples of transcendentalism throughout the movie "Into the Wild", Chris leaves his family and wealthy future ahead to go explore in Alaska. He has his own unique way of seeing life and the world around him, he is very independent, and selfless. An example of transcendentalism, he gives all his money to charity because he believes money isnt worth anything when your living in the wilderness of nature. Also he believes there has to be more there in life than just studying to have a stable job that pays you alot of money. On his path to his journey to Alaska he meets people who gave him their friendship, support, and love. Which made him realize theres only happiness when shared.

I agree with you Isabell. I've seen this movie and it's really interested not everyone would give their money to charity and leave their good rich live behind and go live their live in the wilderness. Most of the time the people who you expect the less will be the great friend and will always be there for you and love you for who you are not for what you have. Good job!

I agree but i think not only to explore Alaska but to enjoy the journey getting there as well, his journey began when he chose to leave with nothing but his goal to getting to Alaska. I bet he never expected to meet such interesting people a long the way to Alaska.
