" Crossing a bare common, in snow puddles, at twilight, under a clouded sky, without having in my thoughts any occurrence of special good fortune, I have enjoyed a perfect exhilaration." (Emerson 241)vi.sualize.us/view/8d2a300ca2cab2dad693b261ea0b9de6/My interpretation of Emerson's words here are that even under the worst conditions nature is still at its best. It still gives him the ability to feel and think to himself even without positivity around him, or even a "good fortune". In this picture I felt like Emerson could connect to it because without that shining light the world would be dark and scary with no sense of direction. So, if we all just open our eyes to nature, like Emerson, we would realize that there is more to it then the obvious. Nature has an atmosphere that's undoubtedly peaceful, it gives you a feeling that you wouldn't be able to fully obtain from anything else.
