“To speak truly, few adult persons can see nature. Most persons do not see the sun. At least they have a superficial seeing. The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eyes and the heart of the child” (Emerson 241). I have chosen this picture because I feel like it describes the quote above. I believe the picture to describe the quote because the sun is brightly shinning and in the quote it says that the sun shines into the eyes of a man. An adult is usually very busy and has no time to look at nature and appreciate it. The sun just shines into their eyes and bothers them because they do not appreciate nature. While a kid is told by its parents to ‘stop looking at the sun because you’ll go blind’. A child sees more than the sun, a child sees natures real beauty with just looking at the sun. A child isn’t as busy as an adult might be, therefore having more time to appreciate nature, sometimes without realizing it. Ralph W. Emerson believes that a man who appreciates nature is someone who still has been able to keep his spirit of infancy up into manhood. “Not the sun or the summer alone, but every hour and season yields its tribute of delight” (Emerson 241). This quote is saying that one should love nature all the time, not only when it’s nice outside, but always.

I think the way you explained how the picture related to Emerson's Nature was brilliant. It is very true that most people besides children take the time to appreciate nature's true beauty. Like the saying goes everyone needs to take time to stop and smell the roses.
