"...I'm not a supermodel I still eat McDonald's. Baby, that's just me...."
"...Who said I can't wear my Converse with my dress? Oh, baby, that's just me! And who said I can't be single I have to go out and mingle BABY, that's not me No, no..."
"...I won't change anything of my life (I won't change anything of my life) I'm staying myself tonight (I'm staying myself tonight)..." ExplanationThis song goes into non-conformity because the speaker does not believe in conforming to society. She is not afraid to do something different than what tradition has always showed people. She does this by stating "that's just me!" when she does something that according to our society is "unusual". She also does not let society, in this case Hollywood, pressure her into giving up McDonald's in order to be skinny. Finally by her saying that she won't change anything in her life means that she won't let anything get in the way of who she is. ;D

Not a song i would exactly hear on a regular basis:P but i like your connections. Her non-conformity is very strong and she doesn't care what others think about it. Her atitude expresses trust in herself and her ideas, and a strong position on what SHE wants to do. Great choice:)

Models usually do not feed on "fast-food" due to the fact that there's the thought of being tiny, healthy, and blemish-free. In other words, perfect. By being a model and eating something that would possibly interfere with their looks is something not many would do in fear of failure of being what is considered "perfect". Wearing tennis shoes with a dress, in this case "Converse", is indeed quite strange in the sense that it hasn't been done much in the past. The songwriter obviously does not care what others think and what they have to say does not hold importance to her. Though one may argue that humans in this day-and-age are starting to pursue this non-conformity idea which may possibly change the meaning of conformity, these song lyrics do express not doing what is usually done by others.

Awsome connection! The singer is going against what is considered normal and acceptable. She is not doing what others are doing, she is doing what she wants to do. The singer is not letting anyone else influence her life, she is in control of who she is and what she wants.

"i'm staying my self tonight " =] she made up her mine ,she isn't going to change for anyone and she won't . She isn't becoming self comforting just because she got big .She is different and won't let other's change her way of being, to be accepted in society.

I have not heard this song in the longest time! I agree with everybody they are great connections. I like how the speaker does not plan to change who she is for Hollywood. Yes, everybody does want her to change to this “perfect” person and she will not give up who she is for Hollywood. Throughout the whole song the speaker does not conform into society.
