Nature ^_^ [shadow=red,left,300][glow=red,2,300]"Nature always wears the colors of the spirit"[/glow][/shadow]Nature changes seasons, just like a person's feelings change. The seasons, as we all know, are spring, summer, autumn/fall, and winter. Spring is a season of happiness and a start of something new. Summer is full of adventure, curiousity, a time to live up your life and take risks. Autumn is where you start looking at everything that happened and planning for what you want to come. This is a period of thought and observance, as well as for appreciation too. Wintertime is full of sadness from having dealt with hardships but it is upheld with a positive thought: spring is not far from coming again. Whatever our mood might be, a time will come when once again it will change to something better or something worse. Emerson is showing us how nature can express what it 'feels', whether losing leaves or blooming, and that we should also express ourselves.... like the seasons. Letting our 'colors' out will sometimes release something beautiful like the bursts of color during fall in the picture. Attachments:

I agree with you Areli, in Emerson's writings he expresses many thoughts. Like for example he does show how nature's seasons can be related to someones moods or life time changes. We all face many obstacles in life that we need to go through. Even if its hard we know the hard times dont last forever. In that having hope for a better tommorrow would be a positive thing to do.

I like your thoughts on this, but I have a slight problem with them (sorry). You gave each season a general mood. I don't like that. Spring showers: Gloomy days full of dark clouds and darken moods. Summer vacations: A time to unwind from it all and enjoy the peacefulness that nature offers. I see fall as a time of increased activity: You have just been refreshed by the summer (either by relaxation or adventure), so you have tons of energy just dying to be used. Winter: A happy, cheery time spent at home with friends and family, something that nice, temperate weather discourages. A time to be able to come together once again, 'til spring comes along with its appealing warm weather, urging each to pursue his own dreams. What I'm trying to do here is show you that the seasons are like a coin: two completely different sides to them. They are also unique to a person, each has their own likes and dislikes of the seasons. Thank you for reading this.
