As Chris dream was to live at nature have an adventure in which society is excluded from. Chris believed the real life was the one that nature brought, the one were you dont have to worry about power, money, or any problems because you can live by the rolling along to where you'll get and yet not worry where you are. Chris finds people along his journey to Alaska, yet in the end he also has to say bye to them, has he did to his own family, because he really wanted to get where he wished to be. All along his journey Chris was very transcendental, for him being the only one to choose what he would do next.

Yes i believe you are right but most of all i believe he just wanted to live life his way, or perhaps the way he believed he was meant to live it. A very transcendental thinking living the way a few people would want, but perhaps not brave enough to live the way the want.

I agree with you both. Andrea, Chris did want to live in nature because of how he did not want to depend on money, power or other problems. Chris was quite a trancendentalist young man through out the whole movie, from the time he graduated from college to the moment he arrived and lived in the wild. Denise, I do believe it was the way he wanted to live, and he was very brave to leave everything behind to live the way he wanted and I admire Chris for his bravery.
